Streets Of Rage 4 System Requirements

Can I Run Streets of Rage 4?

If you are a fan of the original Streets of Rage titles back in the early 90s, you’ll be glad to know that a fourth installment will be with us very soon. Releasing on April 30th, 2020, fans of the beat ‘em up genre will be able to sink their teeth into Streets of Rage 4

It’s always best to check if your system can run a new game before picking it up. Thankfully, Streets of Rage 4 doesn’t look like it will need a monster system to handle it!

We’ve written this page so that you can get an idea of the type of system you’ll need to enjoy Streets of Rage 4 at its highest settings. You simply need to find your current system specifications and compare them to the minimum and recommended ones below.

If you aren’t sure how to do this, simply check out this handy guide. Once you have these noted down you’ll be all set to start comparing. We’re currently working on a tool to do this automatically for our users, it’s not ready just yet but we’ll be sure to keep you updated as it progresses.

Streets of Rage 4 Game Details

  • Release date: April 30, 2020 – Microsoft Windows, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One
  • System Requirements: Low-Medium
  • Genre: Beat ’em up
  • Developer: Dotemu, Lizardcube, Guard Crush Games
  • Publisher: Dotemu

Streets of Rage 4 is an upcoming beat ‘em up that follows closely in the footsteps of its famous 90s predecessors. You’ll take control of your fighter as you battle through stages as you encounter wave after wave of enemy combatants.

This title gives the Streets of Rage franchise a complete visual and auditory overhaul while still retaining the charm of the originals. There are eight new stages on offer as well as five characters consisting of newcomers Cherry and Floyd Iraia and returning characters Axel Stone, Blaze Fielding, and Adam Hunter.

You’ll also be able to get your hands on twelve characters from the previous Streets of Rage games who have all been painstakingly reproduced in all their pixel glory. These aren’t simple ports however, each of these characters has had their animations and timings reconstructed so that they feel natural to use almost 26 years later.

The battle mode found in previous games is also making a comeback in Streets of Rage 4. Players will be able to battle it out against their friends in a variety of arenas where they can hone their skills. We expect there will be plenty of couch-combat tournaments going on once this game has released.

You’ll also be able to continue your trip down memory lane by listening to the soundtracks from some of the previous titles as you play. These can be turned on and off whenever you like. It’s going to be a tough choice to make as the new soundtrack features pieces from the likes of Yuzō Koshiro, Motohiro Kawashima, and Yoko Shimomura.

What Gaming PC Do We Recommend?

As the recommended requirements aren’t the highest for this, you likely don’t need too much of an upgrade if you’re struggling to play it. As the recommended GPUs for this game are around 5 years old now, that would be a great place to start.

Any low-mid tier gaming PC would be perfect for playing Streets of Rage 4, however, you’ll want to check the system requirements of other titles you’re likely to play before making this choice.

Going off the system requirements for this title, the following components would be a great asset to your build. Anything bordering the $600 price range should be suitable to start you off.
