When Should You Not Wear A Wristband Ground Strap?

It is not every time you do something with your computer that you need to wear an antistatic wrist strap to ground yourself. Some of the instances where an antistatic wrist strap is deemed unnecessary is when:

• You are to replace your network adapters
• Plug and unplug your keyboard and mouse peripherals from the back of the computer
• When working inside a CRT (cathode ray tube) monitor as this has fairly high voltages there. Also, only trained professionals are allowed to do so.
