Motherboards are crucial to PC operation, they are the hub in which all your components attach and communicate with one another, whether that be a budget-oriented motherboard or a high-end motherboard, they all serve the same primary function.

I’m sure if you’re anything like myself, you’ve been keeping well abreast of the latest technology announcements made over the last couple of months. If not, you’ve more than likely heard whispers surrounding what is likely to be AMD’s take over of the CPU universe, their highly anticipated Ryzen 5000 chips that are due for release this November 5th, 2020.

Even though AMD’s Ryzen 5000 chips are backward compatible with many of the older X470 motherboards, to fully utilize some of the features and benefits you’re going to have to purchase an X570 board. With many new technologies coming to fruition, there is no better time to discuss everything the X570 has to offer and which are the best X570 motherboards that money can buy.

Our choice of X570 motherboards today include general-purpose, gaming, overclocking, and productivity for use with Ryzen 3, Ryzen 5, Ryzen 7, and Ryzen 9 CPUs.

MSI MEG X570 GODLIKE

MSI MEG X570 GODLIKE

Pros
Cons

The illustrious MSI MEG X570 GODLIKE is one of the best boards for the X570 chipset but it does come with a premium price and is the most expensive option in our round-up. This is an option for a rather niche group of consumers where the smallest of details are of significant importance, with this featuring a high quality 14+4+1 digital power phase design.

The design on this X570 is one of the best out there but this isn’t uncommon from MSI. This board features the brand’s Mystic RGB lighting and features an “infinity” RGB window in the corner. We also see an OLED panel, capable of displaying any errors/bugs you encounter, making hardware monitoring a bit easier.

From a more functional point of view, the X570 GODLIKE features a Frozr heatsink design, an M.2 expansion card, Wi-Fi, and a 10g ethernet card. At the back of the board, we see clear CMOS and BIOS Flash buttons, which is always a handy feature for those that overclock.

While this X570 is going to be way out of the vast majority budget, it is still a fantastic motherboard.

ASUS TUF GAMING X570-PLUS (WI-FI)

Pros
Cons

In terms of value, the Aus TUF Gaming X570-Plus is one of the best motherboards out there. This is perfect for a mid to high-end system and offers consumers a wide variety of popular features such as their signature RGB backlighting, a powerful delivery heatsink, and support for up to DDR4-4,133Mhz RAM when overclocking.

With the imminent launch of the new Ryzen 5000 processors, there has never been a better time to upgrade to an X570 and the souped-up power delivery heatsink is one of many reasons to grab this model. This board also features an excellent capacity for faster RAM, at 4,133Mhz to be exact, which just so happens to be near the Ryzen 5000 series CPU sweet spot.

Along with the usual Wi-Fi, decent power stage, M.2 slots, and PCIe 4.0, this board offers premium quality at an affordable price, something that can be hard to come by.

Pros
Cons

For any prospective Ryzen 3000/ 5000 series CPU based builders looking to create a smaller form factor PC, there is no better option than Asus RG Strix’s X570-I motherboard.

Of course, as you would expect from something this small, compromises with features had to be made but don’t let that put you off this premium ITX option. While there are only two DIMM slots, they can hold up to 64GB of DDR4 RAM, with the ability to XMP your RAM to 4800Mhz! This board also comes equipped with PCIe 4.0, an M.2 slot that features a heatsink, and Wi-Fi.

Wi-Fi on ITX boards is a wonderful feature and as if that wasn’t enough, the design is simply sublime. A highly recommended ITX motherboard here and perfect for those looking to create a compact build with the X570 chipset.

ASUS Prime X570-P

ASUS Prime X570-P

Pros
Cons

For PC builders looking to grab an X570 motherboard that doesn’t need the premium features we see from our other options, the affordable ASUS Prime X570-P is one we regard as the best budget option. This is entry0-level but stable and reliable none the less.

This x570 comes with two full-length PCIe 4.0 slots, dual PCIe 4.0 M.2 slots, and budget controllers handling your audio and networking. This board may be basic but the 8-phase power delivery is actively cooled by the intuitive heatsink design.

Other features include M.2 slots and memory support up to 128GB which can be overclocked up to 5100Mhz. This X570 board also features six SATA ports, six USB 3.1 G2 Type-A ports, two USB 2.0 ports, and your standard three 3.5mm audio jacks but unfortunately no Type-C connections.

The Asus Prime X570-P offers a decent amount for an affordable price and is the perfect way to save some cash on your next build.

Final Word

And there you have it, the best X570 motherboards due for release this summer (or so we think based on leaked specs and projected pricing). The real exciting thing about these new motherboards, whichever one you decide to buy, is their ability to house both the new AMD Ryzen 3000 chips and the super-fast PCIe 4.0 slots as well. It’s going to be a real joy to test the new equipment later this year and see what true potential AMD has mustered up from, seemingly, nowhere!

The Gigabyte X570 Aorus Master offers excellent value for the enthusiast if you can put its features to use. This feature-packed board looks superb and its VRM performance is outstanding.

The MSI MEG X570 Godlike is going to be overkill for the majority of gamers but as a high-end solution, there are few, if any, that can compete with this board. Be warned, it comes at a premium cost.

The Asus TUF Gaming X570-Plus, a solid gaming motherboard built to last and showcases excellent value for money. For something that won’t break the bank, or break at all, while offering overlocking support, and premium features, there are few X570 boards that can compete.

For builders out to create a mini-ITX system, the best X570 motherboard for the job is the Asus ROG Strix X570-I Gaming motherboard. This board offers a lot of premium features compacted into its smaller form factor.

The well priced Asus Prime X570-P offers consumers an entry-level board into the X570 chipset, with enough features to keep you satisfied and a handy price to match.
