League of Legends: Ruined King Release Date, Rumors, and News

Fans of the League of Legends world have had some great recent news. Riot Games has decided to release a new “story-driven, single-player” League of Legends game.

This follows on from a series of exciting announcements at the recent Game Awards 2019

League of Legends: Ruined King Release Date

Announced at The Game Awards, this title will be an RPG spin-off from League of Legends. We don’t know many details about it just yet and we don’t have a release date confirmation from Riot either.

However, we’re hoping a release date will be announced soon enough after the trailer debut at The Game Awards.

League of Legends: Ruined King Trailer

You can see the new announcement trailer below:

League of Legends: Ruined King Gameplay

This is just a short teaser trailer so it doesn’t have a lot of information or examples of gameplay in it. We’re hoping for another trailer to be released which will give us a better idea of what to expect.

This trailer features a creepy voiceover which refers to a King, along with ghostly visuals creeping up across the sea, past sunken ships to what looks like a ruined city on an island.

Apart from the trailer, all we know is that it’s set after Burning Tides and will be a single-player, turn-based RPG game.

The game allows you to gain control of familiar League of Legends Champions who can explore the city of Bilgewater and the mysterious island of Shadow Isles, which presumably is what we see in the trailer.

This gives fans of the original series something a bit different to look forward to, but still set in the same world, using the lore of Runeterra.

Final Word

It looks like Riot Games have a lot planned for release. They also have another story-driven spinoff announced, called League of Legends: CONV/RGENCE. These two titles will be the first indie League of Legends spinoffs to become available.

Fans of the League of Legends world have certainly got a lot to look forward to and we can’t wait to see what direction they take this in. It will be interesting to see how successful these spinoffs are and whether any more are planned in the future.

As always, when more information is released, we will be sure to update this article when a firm release date is announced.
