What are the best home theater Black Friday 2021 deals?

There are various options to choose from when it comes to home theater setups this Black Friday. You have the choice of either a TV or a projector with an accompanying screen for the visual component, and when it comes to audio you can either go with a standalone soundbar, or our personal recommendation: the full surround sound, multi channel home theater speaker setup, for that true cinematic feel. We’ve listed the best of all these options below under their respective section, and we leave it up to you to decide which combination you prefer. We also list a section at the bottom on home theatre power managers / power conditioners, which is something one shouldn’t overlook, particularly if spending over $1,000.

The best home theater TV deals

If you want the best TVs in the business for a home cinema setup on Black Friday 2021, you won’t go far wrong with an LG 4K OLED TV like the LG C1 OLED or the LG C9 OLED. Whilst there isn’t much 8K media around at present, if you’re looking for a home cinema setup that will future proof you for when more does appear over the next year or so, the LG QNED MiniLED 99 Series 8K is a great non-OLED choice, and being non-OLED doesn’t come with the risk of permanent image burn-in. The only 8K OLED screen around currently is the LG Z Series 8K TV, which comes with a very hefty price tag, but if you can get a good enough deal on it and have cash to spend, why not?

The best home theatre projector deals

The home theatre projector is a great alternative to a massive TV screen, that can be put away when not being used but still delivers a great cinematic experience with a large image, though admittedly with a less vibrant picture than is achievable on a top of the range TV. Top of the shop in our opinion is the LG CineBeam Laser 4K HU810PW, which offers a peak brightness of 2700 lumen, meaning it can perform well even in lighter environments, and a projection size from 40″ to 300″. The Optoma CinemaX P2 isn’t quite as good in terms of image quality or brightness, but the audio replication of its 10W digital amp module is superb. If you’re looking for a more budget-friendly projector, and aren’t as concerned about 4K viewing, then the XGIMI Halo or the Anker Nebula Capsule II Mini are both cheap and portable options for a home theatre projector on Black Friday 2021.

The best projector screen home theatre deals

Unless you’re content to project on a blank wall, your projector setup will need the right projector screen. The better quality screens provide a better canvas for the image of your projector to cast onto, and therefore a superior quality of image. The best all-round option is the Elite Screens VMAX 2, which is great for either 4K or 1080p HD viewing and comes with a motorized action and control system. The most premium selection, for those with money to burn, would be the Seymour Screen Excellence Ambient-Visionaire Black 1.2, which has a range of different size and customization options. At the cheaper end of the motorized screens is the Elite Screens Spectrum 2, and for those operating on a real budget, the AmazonBasics 16:9 Pull Down Projector Screen or the portable Pyle PRJTP46 are great options.

The best home theater soundbar deals

The Sonos Arc is the best all-around standalone soundbar this Black Friday 2021, with the Sennheiser Ambeo 3D soundbar taking the award for best audio quality, albeit at a considerably higher price, bulk, and weight. Either of these audio solutions would work great as part of a home theatre setup. If you’re looking for something cheaper, either the Sonos Beam Gen 2 or Sony HT-X8500 would also work for budget setups, though both lack Dolby Atmos support and the same level of atmospheric immersion as their pricier counterparts.

The best multi speaker, multi channel home theatre setups

If you’re looking for more than just a standalone soundbar, and want a true multi-channel surround sound setup, then the below are the best options you should look out for in Black Friday 2021. The Nakamichi Shockwafe Elite (that’s right – wafe not wave), is a great setup if you can find one. It comes with a 9.2.4 channel system, (unusually) comprised of two subwoofers, and four surround sound speakers for the rear of the room, with the soundbar providing the power upfront. A more premium price option is the Samsung HW-Q950A which offers the again quite unique 11.1.4 surround sound setup that provides top level immersion and audio quality, as well as the Samsung HW-Q900A which is essentially the same multi-channel home theatre setup but with a 9.1.4 channel audio (essentially two speakers less).

The best home theatre power manager / power conditioner

If you’re only going with a budget setup, then you may want to pass on getting a home theatre power manager aka a home theater power conditioner this Black Friday. For everyone else though, we’d argue it’s an indispensable component of your home theatre setup: protecting all your valuable equipment from power surges, lightning strikes, and other electrical disturbances. Our two top picks for home theater power managers would be the Tripp Lite 600W 120V Power Conditioner for those on a low-mid range budget, and the premium end Panamax MR4300 Power Line Conditioner and Surge Protector, which comes with a whole range of features and a $5,000,000 Limited Lifetime connected equipment protection policy.
