Much like their competitor Sony, when it comes to TVs, LG tends to aim at the upper end of the market, hence their budget options aren’t as numerous as the more premium televisions. That being said, there are a few options available, from the IPS display LGUP7000 and the more expensive, but more advanced LG UP8000, to the LG 49UM7400, which has particularly low input lag for gaming. These won’t have the picture quality of the LG OLED displays, in particular when it comes to contrast ratio, but they’re still great options for cheaper 4K TVs this Black Friday.

The best LG TV for gaming this Black Friday
As far as premium 4K gaming TVs go, the LG C1 OLED is the best there is in the LG range, coming with a 120Hz refresh rate, VRR (Variable Refresh Rate) support, and some lovely low input lag. The drawback of using an OLED TV for gaming is of course the risk of image burn-in, though as long as you take sufficient breaks in the middle of lengthy gaming sessions, this can be worked around. If, however, you want to opt for an LED TV without the risk of permanent burn-in, the LG NANO90 2021 is a great 4K alternative for less money. It might not have the same inky blacks as the OLED TVs, but it still comes with a 120Hz refresh rate and low input lag.
The best 8K LG TVs this Black Friday
Top of the shop when it comes to 8K LG TVs, and indeed, the only 8K OLED TV range you will be able to buy this Black Friday, is the ridiculously extravagant LG Z Series 8K TVs. Such is the price tag of this stupendous piece of kit, that it’s unlikely many will even consider buying one of these machines, unless they come with a particularly hefty discount. If you want to opt for something a bit less extravagant, the LG QNED MiniLED 99 Series 8K offers a cheaper (though still not cheap) non-OLED alternative, with a comparable number of features and extras, along with terrific display quality.
