Killabee Massage Gaming Chair

Killabee Massage Gaming Chair

Pros
Cons

Let’s get this out of the way. This is not going to give you a relaxing massage after a hard day at work. It will, somewhat noisily, vibrate the lumbar support cushion if you plug it on. It doesn’t feel bad particularly but it’s not exactly light up some cables and relax either. Assuming you dispense with what is a bit of a gimmick and never use it, you actually have a pretty decent chair that comes at a good price.

It sits somewhere between a racing and office style chair which won’t suit every decor, It’s not too bad when it comes to assembly and feels as though it is built to last. You can tell it’s aimed more at the budget end of the spectrum, but that’s not a bad thing if you don’t have upwards of $400 to spend on gaming furniture. A good option for those with more limited purse strings for sure.

Pros
Cons

The Killabee Big and Tall 350 lb massage memory foam gaming chair– try saying that five times fast– is packed with features that you don’t usually find in other affordable gaming chairs. Specifically, two of the most notable features of this chair are the electric lumbar support that massages your back and the retractable footrest.

The retractable footrest is just that. There’s not much to say about it except that it’s, oddly, not very sturdy. Be careful when using it, especially if you’re one of the bigger guys this chair is marketed toward. It does have a variety of color options you can choose from as conciliation, though.

The reclining feature only reclines 155 degrees, but honestly, that’s enough for most users. Under the polyurethane material is memory foam padding. Pair that with the massager lumbar support that you can attach via USB port and you still have a chair that offers above-average comfort in spite of a sub-par footrest and reclining feature.

Pros

We have to set our expectations here. We have already mentioned that this seat comes in less than half the price that the big boys charge, you can pick it up for considerably less than $200 from the Killabee Gaming website, so corners are going to have to be cut. Is it as good, as comfortable, as durable and as, well desirable as a chair from Secretlab or Anda Seat? Nope. Obviously, but if you are looking for an upgrade on the rubbish chair you currently use at your PC it may well just do a job for you and leave you with $200 in the pocket to buy some more games to play while you are sat on it.

The footrest is a bit of a gimmick for me, not many PC players have room to stretch out while playing, but it might be you want to use it for console gaming, or just to have a cheeky nap in, in which case it serves a purpose.

You just need to set your bar appropriately and either decide to save up that bit longer for a premium chair or know, in the back of your mind, that this has saved you some hard-earned cash and you can live with that even though it’s not the best of the best.

Final Word

As far as chairs in the budget sector go you can do pretty well out of picking up a gaming chair from Killabee. The branding is cool enough, the chairs, while definitely not premium, manage to find a decent middle ground, and if you are looking at these, I’m pretty sure it will be an upgrade to what you are sat on while you are reading this page.

Are you going to always wish you had waited and saved up more? Well that’s down to you I guess but picking one of these up at around $200 is still not an insignificant purchase on a seat. Will you be happy with it? I think you will, they are good seats and should last you a good while, just don’t expect them to be perfect and you will be happy you saved some cash.
