Okay – Purple gaming chairs? The tricky thing here is one person’s purple is another person’s lilac. “That’s not a purple gaming chair!”, you cry “It’s obviously Plum!”. yeah, yeah, yeah, and that one is probably violet or lavender. Look, for the sake of this, they are all purple right?

You can choose your upholstery from the company’s own Prime 2.0 leather, to fabric to premium Napa leather.
We are particularly looking at a seat’s purpleness as well here and The Joker’s seat fits that bill being entirely Joker purple. There are also purple design flashes on the seatback, as well a purple and green Joker logo on both sides of the seat back – this might be the part that doesn’t suit everybody’s tastes or decor, but if you are a Batman fan it could also be right up your alley.
Secretlab had such a stellar 2020 they are fighting to keep up with demand so you may see a pre-order time as they work hard to get back on top of orders, but the reason they get such a lot of orders to backfill is that they are so desirable. Don’t be put off by a wait time. This is a chair you will have for many years to come in the future.

There never used to really be a choice. Gaming chairs were all in this racing style. Then we had the X-rocker type seat before companies such as Secretlab came along and styled things in a slightly different way. Racing style chairs are still extremely popular, however, especially with streamers and the like, and we have to admit, this purple and white offering from Vertagear really catches the eye. Yes, the design is out and out racing but if you like that then the colors blend beautifully.
We particularly like the way the lumbar support and the head pillow are designed to blend in sumptuously with the overall design of the chair. It just looks really good.
It’s also really easy to construct as well, literally just sliding together, so you won’t need to muster a second pair of hands to complete any tricky bits. It has a maximum weight recommendation of 150llbs so if you are on the larger side then a racing-style chair may not be for you. Otherwise, if you are looking for a splash of purple in your set-up that oozes class and a hint of speed, look no further.

This is a tough one and you might be wondering what we are playing at recommending a purple gaming chair that scores less than 4 stars overall. We realize though that not everybody had $400 dollars to splurge on a new chair, and if that person is you, then you may well want to consider this budget option. Is it anywhere near as good as the chairs from Secretlab or Vertagear – absolutely not. Is it a purple gaming chair that will do its job and do it to a satisfactory level for much less money? Absolutely yes.
It goes without saying the build quality isn’t as good. It should also be said that it’s not as comfortable. But if you are one of those people who have been locked down all year on a kitchen chair or a $40 office chair from IKEA then it is still a sizeable upgrade.
It’s simple to put together,m take about 20 minutes or so, and as long as you don’t assume you will be using it in five years or so you can’t go wrong, We double the cushions will last as the material isn’t the same standard as the pro chairs on this page and the hydraulics are a bit puny looking and occasionally you might find yourself nearer the floor than you started out, but factor in the reduced cost and what you get and it certainly could be a consideration.

This premium chair from Pig Girl used hight quality high-density foam encased in PU leather to provide a firm seat for your posterior. Alongside the Secretlab chair, this offering can recline back to almost horizontal, perfect for a quick nap if you have space. Its biggest issue aside from the price is the design and coloring are going to be too niche for many, but if you want a purple gaming chair that doesn’t look like the color of a throne and are in the market for something a little more subtle, this could fit that bill. Just be prepared to pay!

Final Word
It’s no huge surprise, I am sure, that we are selecting the Secretlab chair as our best in show here. The Vertagear and Pig-Girl are both good seats but for different reasons, they aren’t getting our nod. The Secretlab is more comfortable than both and half the price of crazily priced Pig-Girl, If a racing-style chair is what you are after then it may be you prefer the Vertagear. Equally, if you simply don’t have the funds for any of our three options mentioned so far then our budget pic is decent, albeit not going to last you anywhere near as long as the others. If you simply must have a purple gaming chair and only have around the $100 mark though then we suggest you have a look at it.
There’s never been a better time to get a gaming chair. Treat your back and your backside to a little more comfort. They deserve it.
