Riot Games has announced it is dropping the new LoL Challenges feature on May 11 after announcing it at the start of Season ‘22. League of Legends Challenges feature is a new way for players to get personalized feats of strength to show off, ranging from a variety of summoner’s rift, ARAM, or LTM game modes that players love playing. Here is everything you need to know with this LoL Challenges guide.

LoL Challenges Guide – How do Challenges Work?

The LoL Challenges features over 300 unique challenges for you to overcome. Each of the challenges reflects a variety of ways to play the game. Perhaps you’re an ARAM king, a god at CSing; or maybe, you’re immune to dying in your games? Chances are there is something for you.

When the feature launches, you can head over to the Challenges Tab and see what you need to do under your profile. Moreso, each of these challenges has an associated rank, just like in Ranked queues. The preview of the article shows someone is diamond in killing jungle camps within 30 seconds of the camp spawning. You are showing how optimized their jungle pathing is in this instance – good job, king. Most of these challenges award special titles too!

Meet the league of legends challenge points system

In addition, each of these Challenges is part of an overall scoring system. Each of these challenges grants an associated amount of points to your profile. These points go into rank for your profile, which allows you to go from iron to challenger for those who take on most of the feats in the game. You can also rank up the categories these challenges belong to, including their own separate rank. It means you can focus on specific categories and fill the bar over time. It means League now has completionist elements if you’re into that sort of thing. At the time of writing, it seems lifetime challenges are slowly going live. Expect your score to tack progressively as the system catches up with your lifetime achievements.

The League of Legends challenge points system also displays a neat symbol in a lobby. You will have a special ranked gem between wings of your rank wing reward in a lobby, before queuing into an ARAM, TFT, or a form of Summoners Rift Mode. This reflects the overall challenge score and rank for you and your party members to see. You can then hover over a player’s profile and see the challenges that person showcases and the rank of challenge categories. In the end game screen, you can also see other challenges they are proud of, along with the new stats features launching with the Challenges update.

How to change Challenges on your profile

With all the new LoL Challenges, there are plenty of ways to customize the feats you are most proud of. If you head into the customize identity screen, aka clicking on your league client’s summoner icon in the top right of the client. From here, you can change everything t do with your challenges highlights.

You can then click on the tab that says Tokens, which is the official name of each individual challenge. For the ones you have completed and are ‘high elo’ with, you can then add them to your profile. These come up during loading screens and on your profile. This allows you and others to see what challenges you are most proud of or express your personality type. (I need to see players with the Vayne banner and the challenge for dying a lot).

Lastly, there is a new tab called titles. Some of the Challenge tokens award you with special titles for completing certain requirements. For example, you can earn the Early Bird title for killing a baron before 21 minutes.

What are the LoL Challenges categories?

There are Five LoL Challenges categories, these are:

  • Imagination – Challenges relating to modes and creative ways to play the game.
  • Expertise – Showcasing your skill and expertise in games by making you complete hard challenges.
  • Teamwork and Strategy – Working together to take objectives on the mao, such as towers, dragons, barons and more.
  • Veterancy – challenges that showcase your efforts through your entire lol account’s career.
  • Collection – For those who like collecting skins, champions, using the loot crafting and more.
  • Legacy – Special challenges that are only available through certain events, game modes, or periods.

League of Legends Titles

There is also a new system in the game, these are the League of Legends titles. The new LoL titles are a feature you can personalize your account with. When you complete tokens, you can get titles for your account. Any tokens you already have right now may already reward you with a title. You can cycle through the challenge system and check out individual tokens yourself and see what titles you get via the special name at the bottom centre of eligible tokens. Once you have a token, head into your personalization by clicking on your Summoner Icon in the top right of the client and clicking on the ‘titles’ tab. You can then add a title under your name. Think of it as an MMO customization feature.
