Blizzard Entertainment has announced the new WoW expansion, Dragonflight. The announcement stream featured plenty of new features, along with a closer look at the expansions’ zones, and other needed revamps to the base game, including talents and the UI. One of the things that weren’t part of the stream that was also confirmed is the WoW Dragonflight beta, which you can sign up for now.

To submit your interest in the WoW Dragonflight beta, you need to head over to the official website and scroll to the bottom. After the livestream was concluded, Blizzard began posting more information, with the beta sign up among it. Head over to this page, and click the beta opt-in button at the top of the screen. It will drag you down the page where you can officially sign up for the WoW Dragonflight beta. You need to have your Battle.net account logged in so you can register your interest in the beta testing period.

However, we do not yet have an idea of when the WoW Dragonflight alpha or beta tests will begin. We still have 9.2.5 testing to go through, which brings with it cross-faction play. There are also the new M+ mega-dungeons, along with revamped Shadowlands raid highlights to test before it goes live for Season 4 Shadowlands. Once when that is done, we will likely learn more about the WoW Dragonflight beta dates and invite waves.

What we do know based on history is that WoW betas typically kick off around 5-6 months before the launch of the expansion with a potential alpha another two months before that. Considering there is no release date for the expansion just yet, it makes it hard to place a Dragonflight beta release window. But, many seem to think the expansion will be in early 2023, so maybe you might start seeing invites around late summertime. Hopefully, Blizzard let the fans know not long after season 4 goes live for those looking at WoW’s seemingly brighter future.
