AMD has just brought out its AMD RDNA2 refresh with three new RX 6X50 XT graphics cards. These aim to bring a new freshness to the current lineup of best GPUs and we take a look at the best RX 6750 XT in particular. The range of these cards mainly introduces more memory and core speeds.

From the rumors surrounding the release of the next generation of GPUs, this may be the last entry into the RX 6000 family. With the RTX 40 series expected in early Q3 and RX 7000 further in the second half of 2022.

The new range of cards aims to pit itself against the established Nvidia cards. In particular, the RX 6750 XT vs RTX 3070 and trading blows throughout the tests. Whilst coming out with an MSRP of $549 it provides some extra firepower in the middle of the field.

Pros
Cons

ASUS ROG has a well-established format. And the RX 6750 XT Strix is no different. With a combination of great cooling and quality along with greater performance. Pushing it further than others but also making sure it stays there for a long time. But coming at a premium.

So to keep that performance going and the GPU under control, the Strix design uses a 2.9 slot heatsink. Which utilizes a max contact heat plate to remove that heat from the GPU. This is then helped by the several heat pipes to efficiently and quickly move it away. This allows the heat to spread across the maximum surface area for the three axial fans to remove from the system.

Altogether combines to keep the higher heat generation from the overclocked die. It increases the base clock by 8% from 2,150 MHz to 2,324MHz. With the game clock increasing by 2% to 2,554 MHz and the boost clock by 1% to 2,623 MHz. Which gives that extra performance increase to the top of the boards.

With a gunmetal shroud, the design may not be for everyone. With dashes of red throughout can be a bit of a clash. Even with the overclocked clock, it can provide some more performance. Although it may come at a cost of sounds and heat.

The build of the card is kept to just two slots. The large aluminum heatsink provides an efficient and great spread of heat. The copper base gives in direct contact and provides great transfer along with the memory for best performance. It is also supported by three fans, two 100mm and one 90mm.

The base clock of the card has been increased by 8%. Up to 2,324 MHz from 2,150 MHz. With the game clock up 2% to 2,554 MHz and the boost clock up 1% to 2,623 MHz. Which does also push the card up to the top of the range.

Combining a smaller size along with good quality cooling and build. It combines a sleek solid material that is built to last, whilst keeping temps down. While keeping up the performance as it should.

The card is designed with a clean brushed backplate that reinforces the whole GPU. With an over two-slot heatsink, it offers a great thermal mass for good cooling. With two Torx 3.0 fans keep the temps under wrap with bigger air pressure passing through the sink. Along with the core pipes and thermal padding that ensure the die thermals are under wraps.

Although not overclocked it still has great performance. With a base clock of 2150 MHz, a game clock of 2495 MHz, and a 2600 MHz boost. And there may be potential for an overclock if you wanted to push it any further.

Pros
Cons

Having a great cooling solution allows the Gigabyte card to be pushed further. It not only comes overclocked it also has a great cooling solution to keep the performance up.

Gigabyte utilizes the Winforce 3x coolers system with alternating spinning fans. So five composite copper heat pipes transfer out the die to the longer heatsink. With which the 80mm fans dissipate the heat away.

The overclock pushes the base clock up by 6% which sets it to 2283 MHz. Whilst the game clock is up 2% to 2533 MHz, the boost clock is up by 1% to 2623 MHz. Giving the performance increase up to a great degree.

Final Word

There you have the Best RX 6750 XT, to help you choose which best fits you. With the refresh, you can experience an improvement in performance and give something new to this aging generation. But you can always wait for the next with the RTX 4000 series or RX 7000, or even Intel’s ARC Alchemist to have more options.
