About Maya Hutchinson
Although Maya grew up and lived among the F1 cars and beaches of Monaco, she spent more time indoors playing on her Xbox 360. As she grew up, so did her love for games, particularly narrative-based games. She loved games that told a story or got her attached to characters. Now, Maya writes both articles about the latest games but also is writing her own novel. She one day hopes to be writing for games herself, especially fantasy RPGs!
Maya was born and raised in the glamorous Monte-Carlo, with casinos and a racing track right outside her window and a short walk to the beach. Despite all of this, she stayed in her room, closed all the curtains and gorged herself on snacks and sodas while playing her favourite games. This hobby eventually became a career goal, as she moved to the UK to study Animation but soon transferred to a Creative Writing course when she realised just how much she preferred writing. Since then, she’s completed both a Bachelors and a Masters in Creative Writing and even been awarded an Excellence Scholarship by her university. Maya is working on a card game called Silver Linings and is hoping to finish writing her fantasy novel by next year!
Maya loves writing and games and hopes to be a writer for one of the great fantasy RPG games in the future. In the meantime she’s looking after her Golden Retriever pup called Tiamat.
