It’s official, Koei Techmo is bringing the sequel to a cult classic JRPG to the Switch, PC, and PS4 this February. Whether or not you’re a big fan of the last game, you’ve got to be wondering if your gaming rig is strong enough to run Atelier Sophie 2. If you’re not familiar with the Atelier series, they’re a long-running line of JRPGs that stretches all the way back to the PS1 era in Japan. They typically involve a blend of classic JRPG exploration and combat, mixed with having to run a store that specializes in alchemy called an Atelier.

Atelier Sophie was initially released back in 2015 and was one of the first games in the series to attain any major level of success in the west, though previous titles had certainly been released. The main characters from the game even appeared in various of the subsequent games that were released as cameos.

Atelier Sophie 2 is the first game that takes us back to Sophie and presumably will feature some of the other characters that fans loved in the original game. We already know that Plachta is making a comeback, which will be welcome news to many fans of the original.

Since Atelier Sophie 2 has medium system requirements, you’ll need to spend a medium amount of money to get a decent PC to use for it.
