Can I Run Sifu On My Computer?

Final Fantasy VI Remaster is finally on its way, and JRPG fans couldn’t be happier. However, that happiness may be tinged with a bit of worry for anyone who’s failed to upgrade their hardware over the past decade or so. Luckily, Final Fantasy VI Remaster isn’t exactly an intensive game, so assuming that your PC isn’t powered by a potato, then you’re probably going to be okay.

That said, you’ll need to check your specs if you want to find out for sure. If you don’t know how to check your specs, we actually have the perfect guide for that. If your computer doesn’t match up, somehow, then you’ll need to get new hardware, or at least upgrade the hardware that you do have.

Final Fantasy VI Remaster Release Date & Game Details

  • Release Date : Feb 2022
  • System Requirements : Low
  • Genre : JRPG
  • Developer : Square Enix
  • Publisher : Square Enix

If you haven’t already heard, the entire early Final Fantasy series is getting a line of beautifully remastered ports. These ports are bringing the games into a level of detail that we’ve simply never seen before from then.

Although the original games from 4 onwards, were already released in pristine 16-bit pixel graphics, there’s a shocking amount that can be done to make the games even prettier. A comparison that’s been floating around online shows scenes with some never-before-seen details in the background.

It’s not immediately clear if these remasters will add any extra content outside of the new artistic details. The previous titles in the series mostly didn’t receive any extra content, in fact, some of the games were missing extra content that was added in later revisions and releases. Chances are that Final Fantasy VI will receive a very similar treatment.

What Gaming PC Do We Recommend To Play Final Fantasy VI Remaster?

Because the requirements for running the game are so low, you shouldn’t need to shell out all that much to get Final Fantasy VI Remaster up and running. If you’re building your own PC, an investment of around $500 at the absolute most should be all that you need to get a machine that can play this game at its full potential. This is especially true since you can rely on an APU rather than a CPU, saving you a bunch of money on a graphics card.

Obviously, buying pre-built is going to add a little more cost, but even that should only run you around $600 or so. Even a decently powerful laptop shouldn’t have any trouble playing a game that is made entirely of pixels after all, no matter how fancy those pixels might happen to be.
