Arguably some of the best laptops Dell has ever created are the latest version of the Dell XPS 15 or Dell XPS 13, depending on your size preference. The Dell XPS 13 will probably suit most peoples’ uses, being more compact and slightly cheaper, though the Dell XPS 15 not only has a larger 15″ screen but offers higher-spec options for those also interested in some light gaming. For the more budget end of the spectrum, for those who just need a machine that they can use for word processing and light web browsing, the Dell Chromebook 3100 11 is a great value option.

The best Dell workstation laptop this Black Friday
For light workstation use the Dell XPS 17 (2021 version) is the best Dell machine out there. It’s not cheap, but the 17-inch display, which can go up to 4K resolution, is divine. For the higher end of mobile workstation machines with serious rendering power and 4K displays, we’d go with the Dell Precision 7550 or alternatively the Dell Precision 7540, which despite being older, actually slightly outperforms the newer model in most benchmarks. Both of these come with the Nvidia Quadro TX series of GPUs, as well as Intel Xeon CPUs – both designed with rendering and 3D modeling in mind.
The best Dell gaming laptop for Black Friday 2021
The higher-end versions of the Dell XPS 15 comes with a graphics card NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 Ti suitable for low-level gaming, along with the 32GB RAM spec, but ultimately you will be paying a lot for the display for relatively little FPS. Similarly, the Dell XPS 17 (2021 version) can come specced out with a NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 6GB GDDR6 which is a mid-level laptop GPU, however the laptop is mostly geared for creatives, so we wouldn’t recommend it for pure gamers. Ultimately, if you want a Dell gaming laptop, your best bet is to go with their premium Alienware range.
