Yesterday, Polish developer CD Projekt RED announced that the Cyberpunk 1.5 patch has just dropped, among a slew of new updates to enemy AI, systems and a whole lot of bug fixes, they also announced that the next-gen versions of the games for Xbox and PlayStation 5 were now available. This means that you’ll finally be able to enjoy Cyberpunk 2077 as it was intended, after a disastrous launch back in late 2020. It’s been a long road, which means that if you’ve yet to pick it up yet, then you will be able to grab a copy of the game on the cheap, so you won’t be left missing out on all the action to be had in the vast landscapes of Night City.

Already have a copy? Upgrade for free

If you already own Cyberpunk 2077 on Xbox or PS4, you can upgrade to the next-gen version of the game for nothing at all, meaning that you don’t have to splash out again to enjoy better visuals and doodads like ray-traced shadows that the next-gen versions of the game offer. Additionally, you can expect to find various performance or quality modes, based on if you want to be targeting that sweet 60fps, or go for a fully-visual experience in the quality mode. Though it does seem somewhat glaring to not have ray-traced reflections in the next-gen versions, you still get the boon of ray-traced shadows instead.

Regardless, it’s great to see that you can just upgrade free of charge if you have already purchased the game, either physically or digitally. But, for those of you out there who have yet to pick a copy up, you’re in luck. You can also choose to try out the game with a five-hour free trial.

Try before you buy with a 5-hour trial

Not completely sold on the latest releases of Cyberpunk 2077? You can try before you buy with a five-hour trial that could see you make your own player character, V, and get invested in the world of Night City before you commit to purchasing it outright. We presume that this is CDPR’s way of telling us to not be worried about any heinous game-breaking bugs and glitches that the game was ridden with when it first launched. So, if you want to give it a try before you buy, you can explore the streets and faces of Night City to get you fully sold on the experience before you buy. But, you don’t want to make Keanu sad, do you? If you wish to keep our lord and master mister Reeves happy, you can choose to grab the next-gen version on the cheap for PlayStation 5.

Where to buy Cyberpunk 2077 for the cheapest price

As you might have been able to tell from our headline, you can get Cyberpunk 2077 for much less than it initially launched. Now, in the UK you can grab the game for two tenners, £20 for the uninitiated into the mortal realm of cash money. You can get it from the official Playstation Store, or if you’re after a physical copy, check out the links below.
