In-depth Review
Secretlab ‘House Lannister’
Secretlab ‘House Lannister’
Secretlab is already one of the go-to brands when you want to make sure you are getting the best value for money from your gaming chair investment. With a range that covers the more sedate, to officially licensed, branded chairs like this one they have you covered. If you are a big Game of Thrones fan, you can not only pick up this red House Lannister model but seats bedecked in the crests of the other houses in the hit TV show/books as well.
This chair comes with pretty much as many customizable options as the rest. You can choose your upholstery from the company’s own Prime 2.0 leather, to fabric to premium Napa leather. It all affects the costs but this is a premium seat with premium options to boot.
Secretlab had such a stellar 2020 they are fighting to keep up with demand so you may see a pre-order time as they work hard to get back on top of orders, but the reason they get such a lot of orders to backfill is that they are so desirable. Don’t be put off by a wait time. This is a chair you will have for many years to come in the future.
Secretlab ‘Horde’
Secretlab ‘Horde’
I remember playing World of Warcraft back in the day but after a few years stopped and never went back. This WoW chair actually made me consider downloading it again for old-times sake. I didn’t but at least it made me think about it. But that’s the thing with game licensed chairs, they are really only going to appeal to players of the game.
If you are a huge WoW fan and want to take your obsession that bit further, AND you need a red chair to boot, then this Horder chair has all the regular Secretlab hallmarks. It will last forever, is insanely comfortable to sit in for long periods and the build quality is next level. It is a premium price, but on top of a great gaming chair you are also getting some relatively rare game merchandise too, so if you ever come to sell it on, we imagine it will become a collector’s item in years to come.
AndaSeat Kaiser Gaming Chair
AndaSeat Kaiser Gaming Chair
Ah, now this is a gaming chair. It’s almost like some kind of hybrid between your traditional bucket seat racer and an executive office chair. In fact, that’s pretty much how AndaSeat would like you to think of it. The leather is also treated with special dies to stop it fading so it should hold that brooding maroon color for years to come.
With a tall, firm back and uniquely shaped support, there can be no doubting this is a stylish piece of furniture. It will cost you north of $450 to bring one home with you which is expensive but if that is your budget then you can’t go wrong with this. The pillows are memory foam and the seat is firm enough to maintain its shape in the long-run. AndaSeat is producing some great looking chairs right now and are deserving of your attention.
Killabee Massage Gaming Chair
Killabee Massage Gaming Chair
Let’s get this out of the way. This is not going to give you a relaxing massage after a hard day at work. It will, somewhat noisily, vibrate the lumbar support cushion if you plug it on. It doesn’t feel bad particularly but it’s not exactly light up some cables and relax either. Assuming you dispense with what is a bit of a gimmick and never use it, you actually have a pretty decent chair from Von Racer that comes at a good price.
It sits somewhere between a racing and office style chair which won’t suit every decor, It’s not too bad when it comes to assembly and feels as though it is built to last. You can tell it’s cheaper than the others on this page, but that’s not a bad thing if you don’t have upwards of $400 to spend on gaming furniture. A good option for those with more limited purse strings for sure.

Final Word
This was a tight decision between the Secretlabs and the AndaSeat. In the end, the AndasSeat is just a little bit more expensive which tipped the balance the other way. However, if you bear in mind that the two red offerings from Secretlab are licensed (Game of Thrones and World of Warcraft) there is every chance that neither of them fit in with the chair you want, in which case consider AndaSeat’s Kaiser.
In truth any are great. We recommend Secretlab chairs for a reason, however. We know them inside out and know how good they are over an extended period of time. If you are looking for a cheaper option we have the chair from Von racer which is around half the price and features a massage cushion and a footrest. You might consider them gimmicks, however. They aren’t anything I would use regularly. Either way, though there are four chairs here will do you proud if you still want to add a touch of red to your room.
