There have been quite a few rumours knocking around about a potential Varane FIFA 22 flashback card coming up. Over in Twitter-sphere, several FIFA 22 leakers have revealed potential screenshots of what we can expect from the Varane flashback, including the star’s stat improvements and card photo.
The stats that we can see above seem to somewhat reflect Varane’s FIFA 19 TOTY appearance. The stats on his current base FIFA 22 ratings are:
- PAC – 82
- SHO – 49
- PAS – 64
- DRI – 65
- DF – 87
- PHY – 82
On the other hand, it seems like this Varane flashback FIFA 22 rating is as follows:
- PAC – 89
- SHO – 60
- PAS – 70
- DRI – 79
- DF – 92
- PHY – 91

If these Varane flashback ratings are true, then this card will be an amazing improvement. Not to mention the pacing meta that seems to exist at the minute makes him a decent card to get your hands on. Combine that with the strong defence and physical, and he may even compete against the TOTY defenders, which are likely to drop soon. It seems like the SBC for the Varane flashback is likely going to be for players who missed out on grabbing a TOTY defender.
If you’re wondering when we might get a Varane flashback FIFA 22 release date, the answer to that is yet to be seen. As it stands, the rumours seem to indicate another Dest SBC will happen between now and the Varane flashback. Not to mention the leaks, which turned out to be true, mentioned that Harry Kane is the first flashback on the list to be an SBC, and that is available till February 21. We reckon that there will be some time between the Dest drop and before the end of the TOTY promotion, which is due to go on for another week given the staged releases of the TOTY packs.
Oh, and it’s also worth mentioning there is currently a Prime Gaming pack drop. Perhaps you can get lucky with the pack and get decent players that you can perhaps use for the SBC you need to complete to get the card.
