The release date for Elden Ring has finally arrived, and the FromSoftware game is already rocketing up the Steam concurrent player charts. Steam’s stats show over 700,000 players were adventuring in The Lands Between at the game’s day one peak. According to SteamDB, this is more than double the peak concurrent player count of Dark Souls III and Sekiro combined.
Elden Ring concurrent player count on Steam
So far, the Elden Ring concurrent player count on Steam has reached a peak of 764,835. At the moment, this puts Elden Ring at number seven for the all-time peak of concurrent players. This was just three hours after the game’s launch in the US, and was in the early hours of the morning across Europe. As such, we can safely assume that Elden Ring’s peak record will only go up now the rest of the world have their copies. The weekend will likely see FromSoftware’s biggest game to date considerably smash its current record.
While Lost Ark is still smashing Elden Ring’s daily peak on Steam by 150,000 players, LA is a PC exclusive. These figures don’t include Elden Ring’s masses of console players, so we know the souls-like game’s actual peak player count will be far higher.
