We’ve yet to be graced with the latest Genshin Impact 2.8 update and rumours are already spilling across the net as to what will be in store for Genshin Impact 3.0.

Genshin Impact 3.0 update will likely be the biggest we’ve seen in some time, offering up new territories, places to roam, and the release of Dendro Vision users. Alongside this, we also expect to see a massive new story update that will likely include Archon quests and new hangout events.

While this all sounds incredibly exciting, none of this has actually been confirmed yet. That said, we’ve scoured the web collecting all the most likely rumours to keep you bang up to date with what could happen in the coming months.

Like always, we’ll be keeping this page up to date with all the latest release date, character, banner, and event updates.

Genshin Impact 3.0: expected release date

With no official release date just yet, we can only go off the strong rumours circulating the Genshin Impact 3.0 release date. That being said, best guesses suggest that Genshin Impact 3.0 will go live on August 24, 2022 – around six weeks after the launch of Genshin Impact 2.8 update.

It looks like the 3.0 update will run until September 5th, 2022 – but has yet to be confirmed.

Is there going to be a Genshin Impact 3.0 Beta test?

While there will be a Beta test for Genshin Impact 3.0, the last cut-off for the sign-up form was June 13th – meaning if you’re reading this after that date, you’ve likely missed the boat.

The lucky few who did manage to get their hands on the Genshin Impact 3.0 Beta test will likely release some exciting new leaks in the coming days, so stay tuned for all the most up-to-date rumours.

Genshin Impact 3.0 Characters and Banners

If you’ve been following the latest Genshin Impact news closely, you’ll already be fully immersed in the rumours which are currently doing the rounds.

While none of the following characters and banners have had official confirmation just yet, there are strong leaks to suggest they will become part of the latest 3.0 Genshin Impact update.

Below is a recent tweet suggesting some of the latest character and banner arrivals. Of course, take the following with a large pinch of salt at this early stage:

Some of the names floating around at the moment include; a Hydro polearm user names Cyno, a four-star Dendro bow user names Collei, a five-star Dendro vision user named Tighnari.

Other names floating around include Yaoyao, Scaramouche, and Baizhu – but they rumours are even more out there than the previous characters.

All in all, while nothing is confirmed just yet, there is an incredibly strong chance that Dendro users will finally be introduced in the next Genshin Impact chapter (3.0, not 2.8).

Genshin Impact 3.0 new map and region

Alongside characters and banners, a new map and region are set to emerge for the Genshin Impact 3.0 update – or so rumours suggest.

The new region looks set to be Sumeru, following the Teyvat storyline trailer which sees Sumeru coming after Inazuma. After the latest Archon Quest, Yae Miko spoke to the traveler who also suggested it as a possible destination – with numerous other hints at the region through older update events.

Unfortunately, it’s still early days so we can’t confirm whether this will be the case or not. However, with strong rumours surrounding the topic, it looks likely that this will be the case.
