The Xbox Cloud Gaming service allows gamers to take their prized library of titles wherever they see fit. You don’t even need an Xbox as the Game Pass would allow anyone with a compatible device, such as a PC, to play any game instantly.

Microsoft has been improving accessibility and recently updated the Cloud gaming service for IOS devices. The service has been available on iPhone and iPad devices for almost a year and received optimized data transmissions (speed up the service) and optimized video output. These performance upgrades go a long way to ensure users have a smoother, more responsive experience.

More good news, the performance improvements will essentially reduce input latency in general, which is huge for those that rely on streaming to game.

All these positive changes come off the back of user feedback and a better IOS experience was one example.

So, what’s next for Microsoft? Well, they are currently working on a dedicated Xbox app for TVs. This is a hugely exciting prospect, allowing those with subscriptions access to games without a console altogether.
