Razer To Release Their Lightest Gaming Mouse

Razer is always expanding its line of gaming mice, but they have recently announced the release of a brand new Viper Mini mouse. This comes in the line of Viper gaming mice and will be a smaller version of the standard Viper and the Viper Ultimate. It will have a shorter length and width grip and will also be considerably lighter than the other two previous versions.

Viper Mini Mouse Dimensions And Weight

The Viper Mini will be the lightest mouse that Razer has ever created, weighing just 61 grams. It measures 4.6 x 2.97 x 1.49 inches.

This is quite a bit smaller than the standard Viper mouse which has the dimensions 4.99 x 2.27 x 1.49 inches. The Viper Ultimate has the same dimensions as the Viper standard mouse but it weighs 74 grams instead. Somehow, Razer has managed to knock off a huge 13 grams with this new mini gaming mouse.

The Viper Mini might be the lightest but it’s not the smallest in the Razer line. The Atheris mouse actually measures 3.9 x 2.5 x 1.35 inches but it’s a bit heavier, weighing 66 grams.

How Will The Viper Mini Perform?

Razer seems to be trying to fit all the great Razer features and benefits of Viper mice into smaller and lighter models.

The Viper Mini will feature the same ambidextrous design as previous models which is great for left-handed people out there. However, this design also means the mouse is lighter. Razer explained how in a statement:

“The ambidextrous chassis has shaved off more weight, so you can enjoy even swifter swipes, yet remains as durable and solid as ever. Recommended for gamers with small to medium hand sizes, this ultra-lightweight gaming mouse is best suited for those who favor claw or fingertip grip styles.”

The Viper Mini has an 8,500 DPI optical sensor and a tracking speed of up to 300 inches per second. With optical mouse switches and six programmable buttons, the Viper Mini is a smaller mouse but it certainly isn’t lacking any features which make Razer mice great.

There’s even some RGB lighting thrown into the mix plus an onboard memory so you can save custom settings that suit you directly into the mouse itself. Will you be trying out this new Razer mouse?
