The perfect desk for your PC set-up can come in many different forms. A lot of the reasoning behind which desk you go for will often come down to both cost and space, or certainly one or the other. You might see the desk of your dreams but without taking a jigsaw to it, it simply won’t fit in the corner where you hunker down to play your games.
Arozzi Gaming Desks are becoming increasingly popular as people look for the perfect match for their sexy new gaming chair. They have three models that aim to suit all wallets and needs, from the Arena, the small Leggero, and the uber-cool motorized version of the Arena.

You can just tell when you come across a premium piece of furniture. Most of us are probably used to cheap desks, old desks and desks not really designed for the purpose we use them for. To be honest mine in my home office consists of two $15 Ikea desks in an L-Shape, which is fine because it fits my space perfectly.
So often, desk choice comes down to the space you have available as well as the funds, but if you can cover both areas and get hold of an Arena you will love it. Its all-metal construction makes it sturdy enough for all purposes and the fact that it is height-adjustable (manually, see the Moto below if you want a mechanized version) could be a real boon to some people. You can’t really turn it into a satisfactory standing desk if you are tall, but there’s enough give to get those troublesome chair arms under it and out of the way.
The Arena is held up with sturdy steel legs that are height adjustable up to 10cm (3.9inches). There are also four balance adjustment knobs below the legs to prevent the desk from wobbling so it can adapt to your personal environment.
The Arena has a myriad of other features which show the careful attention to detail of Arozzi’s Swedish design team. Those features include the design of the custom mouse pad which has a microfiber cloth surface that is water-resistant and machine washable. The mousepad’s edges are stitched and the pad is 5 mm thick to maximize user comfort. Finally, the whole mousepad weighs an impressive seven pounds (3.2 kg) which together with the non-slip underside means it is impervious to any random movement over the surface.
Cable management is a dream too. The Arena has three cut-outs on top of the surface that lead to a mesh basket that tightly held against the underside of the desktop for cable management. This system is easier to manage, out of the way, and looks great.
One of the best features is the huge full-surface mousepad. The entire surface of the Arena desk is covered with an interchangeable microfiber mousepad on top of a tough MDF board. The mousepad is specially designed to custom fit the curved 14 sq. ft. (1.31 sq. meters) Arena desk with an anti-slip rubber bottom to ensure that it stays in place. You can wash it if you spill any on it and it is here really where the chosen flash of color comes in.
At just over $300 this is not a small investment but it is a premium and desirable gaming surface that has been well-thought-out and you certainly don’t get the feeling you have paid over the odds for it.

So we don’t all live in mansions and if a poky little apartment is your current lot in life, but you still crave a really good desk with a premium feel to it, the Leggaro could solve a lot of your problems in one fell swoop. The Arena Leggero was designed based on the original Arena Desk with the same high-quality but with a smaller surface of 114x72cm. Ideal for those who don’t need the extra-large surface space or live in smaller living spaces.
It still features all the great things that made us love the Arena, but, well, just trimmed down. The machine-washable and water-resistant full-surface mousepad is included (in one of three colors – slightly less choice than the other Arena models) and the cable management is included with cut-out holes and an under-desk mesh pocket – just bear in mind its a smaller desk to there is less room for your rat’s nest of wires to get tucked successfully away out of sight.
The desk height is also fixed at 28.5 inches (72.5cm) – it’s a shame the adjustability of the bigger models wasn’t included, but it retains the balance adjustment knobs to prevent wobble at least.
The Legarro is cheaper and smaller, and if you need your desk to be either of those things, it’s ideal, but in truth, we would rarely recommend it over the Arena.

Okay, so a desk which changes its form at the press of a button is a bit Batcave/James Bond but if you are somebody who has spent many a year typing away in front of a desk in a variety of uncomfortable chairs, publishing your back and spine, then you might well know how nice it is to be able to stand up once in a while and work. Standing desks are becoming more and more popular for their health benefits, but what the Arena Moto offers is the ability to choose between the two on a whim. Studies suggest that alternating from sitting to standing can provide multiple health benefits and boost productivity.
Twin motors ensure the desk won’t struggle to lift the loads you place on top of it and four different, customizable height settings can be accessed from the control panel at the front and you can make further adjustments with the Up and Down arrows to get things perfect for you. You can therefore easily set a height for standing and one for sitting. Just make sure if your PC is under the desk that your cables are long enough to avoid a disaster!
A headset hanger is included with the Arena Moto. It can be attached underneath the desk on the right or left side depending on where the display is placed. Cable management is also covered well. We love the Arena Moto. It’s technology that isn’t a gimmick and that’s always a good thing. It’s a shame it cost will take it out of the realm of most people. This and a decent gaming chair will set you back the best part of a $1000. But what price comfort and health?

Final Word
It makes sense that as people upgrade their chairs to extra-comfy gaming chairs that the next thing to start looking at is the desk, but if you are a manufacturer, how do you make your desk stand out. Fundamentally it just consists of legs and a slab of reconstituted wood right? Well, Arozzi is trying to mix things up and get to the forefront of this emerging market but thinking about what PC gamers actually want and need. Great cable management, massive surfaces for your mouse, and even the potential of being able to adjust the height of your surface on a whim are all catered for here.
We love the Moto version of the Arena, it’s very cool indeed and probably where a lot of desks in the next ten years are headed. The ability to hit a button and have the height transform in front of you to a standing desk is nice. Of course, it introduced moving parts and potential breaking down issues that never really featured in desks before. It won’t be great when those motors eventually pack in if you are that unfortunate, but it offers – for a price a really good alternative to hunching down uncomfortably over a set height.
The original Arena is also height adjustable, albeit a pain in the backside if you have all your ear over it as it is manual. The Leggaro – the cheapest and indeed smallest model, forsakes all that and in doing so, loses a lot of the uniqueness of the other two models.
None of the desks here are exactly what I would call ‘cheap’ – you can come up with a solution for far fewer dollars but these are premium pieces of gaming furniture and you are going to have to stump up for that.
If money is no object the Moto is great, failing that, get the Arena. If you absolutely must have an Arozzi desk and you have a small space only, then the Legarro is for you, but don’t just get it to cheap out as the others are better.
