Samsung tablets are incredible, and they happen to be the absolute best Android tablets out right now. An intuitive yet flexible software experience, powerful performance, and incredible displays go a long way in pleasing the customers. These tablets are more powerful than ever, and it makes day-to-day tasks that much more enjoyable.

The current lineup includes the Tab S8, S8+, and S8 Ultra. Of course, not everyone has their hands on these tablets yet. Samsung has been making tablets for so long, that there are dozens and dozens of different models out there.

Thankfully, although so much has changed over the years, the small yet crucial stuff remains the same. Here’s how to take a screenshot on virtually any Samsung tablet out in the wild.

Using the tablet keys

The quickest and most obvious way of taking a screenshot on any Samsung tablet is by using the tablet keys. Locate the power and volume keys on your tablet, which are usually on the same side.

Quickly press and hold both keys simultaneously, and a screenshot will be taken. Don’t hold the keys down for too long, and try to make sure you press them at the same time.

Alternative method

If you have an older tablet that also has a physical home button, you can press the power and home buttons at the same to capture the screen. Press both of these at the same time, just like you did with the volume and power keys above.

Take screenshots with the S-Pen

If your Samsung tablet comes with or supports an S-Pen, you can use that to take screenshots as well. To some people, this might feel more intuitive because you don’t need to awkwardly adjust your grip. Here’s how it works.

Use the S-pen to tap on the Air Command menu icon. This is indicated by a floating pen logo somewhere on your screen. This will bring up a menu of functions, and from here you’ll tap on Screen Write.

Screen Write automatically takes a screenshot of whatever page you are on. You can use the S-pen controls to write or draw on this picture. When you’re through with that, tap Save to store the screenshot in the Gallery.
